Subject: The Max Brand Report
Hi everybody, here is another edition of the Max Brand Report. Before I begin I like to wish a very happy Thanksgiving to our neighbours south of the border that are celebrating today. I sincerely hope I get a chance to one day visit the U.S and check out your music scene over there. I have many musician friends that had gone to places like Texas, Nashville, Memphis, & Chicago that had gone over there and played with some of the finest musicians in these parts. There is going to come a time I like to go down to these places and check out the scene over there and even do a show over there. It will take time but As soon as I get lots of recognition throughout the provinces of Canada I may make my way down to the U.S. Once again Happy Thanksgiving from North of the Border.

Last night I was down at The Rockpile for week six of the Toronto’s Rising Stars tryout and there was a new entry of singers which were six while eight were semi-finalist returning to practise their songs so they can be prepared for the semi’s in late January. There was a guy named Keith Armstrong who used to be in a Canadian band called The Original Caste that had two hit songs which their biggest One Tin Soldier & Mr Monday. He did two original songs called Sing A Song With A Melody & Watching The Wheel Go Round. One of the most powerful performances of the night goes to eleven year old Augusta who has been attending the Toronto Rising Stars show since day one did a very amazing rendition of Mary Don’t You Know that almost had me misty eyed which tells about Mary’s only son Jesus Christ whom she gave birth on Christmas Day more than a thousand years ago. There were other outstanding talents like Larissa McKenna doing her original song Never Let Me Down & A Friend Like You , Joe King Good Time Joe & I’ll Be There, Dakota: Vampires, James: Picture Frame & Anthem, & Ms Monique Give It To Me and she was the most sexy dressed at Toronto’s Rising Stars. This event will continue up to December 15th before it shuts down for the Holiday season so you got another three weeks to go and I’ll definitely will be at these events except for December 1st cause I’m doing my last session at Brian Gagnon’s home studio putting the final touches of my second album. Also the Toronto’s Rising Stars is also happening out in Burlington called Jesters on Tuesday nights.

As the holiday season is getting nearing I been approached by people to promote charity’s and events on My Shiney Blue Shirt Group regarding the holiday season one event that is coming up on December 10th is the CP24 Christmas Wish Cd release party taking place at McGradies Tap & Grill that’s featuring

Rumbleseat
Max Brand
Themis
Stephan Shelton
Zelda & the Legends
White Ash
Judy Kanyo
Al Reilly

These eight bands are taking part in this fund raising show which not only will the album will be sold but among other prizes that will be raffled throughout the night. This is one show you don’t want to miss and it’ll also be broadcast for the evening news so please come down and check out the Cd release party that’s going to be the biggest ever.

I got a e-mail from Mary Ward he is one of my Facebook friends & regular readers of my newsletter wants to pass the word around that The NWFF needs your help to donate toys to McMaster Hospital and food to the Brantford Food Bank. We know this is a time of the year when we all feel the pinch,
however a donation of $2.00 to $5.00 from each of you would make Christmas for the children in hospital even better.
If you are not in our area you can donate via pay pal here is the link:

Some of these food banks are always working all year round but when it comes to that time of year they are plenty of families that need to food not just for their children but for themselves as well so they can have a good Christmas after going through such a horrendous year. I know it`s not releated to music but this is me just doing a favour for someone that wants her cause to be spread so others can pass the word around. I hope some of you got that.

This upcoming Sunday Evening is the Frank Soda Benefit taking place at The Rockpile & this is going to be many local musicians coming out for this show and here are the scheduled line up`s and activities happening
