VANCOUVER – After being named the No. 1 resort in Canada by readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine, King Pacific Lodge is offering a deal for a three-night stay next summer: $2,950 per person.
The luxury wilderness lodge, accessible only by float plane, calls that “an exceptional rate.” Normal three-night rates for rooms covered in the deal range from $4,750 to $8,450, said spokesperson Jayne Lloyd-Jones.
The package, available on select dates and to Canadians only, includes round-trip chartered flights from Vancouver, gourmet meals and eco-adventures such as saltwater fishing, hiking, kayaking and whale watching.
The lodge is located on B.C.’s central coast in the Great Bear Rainforest.
British Columbia swept the top three spots in the Canadian resorts category of the magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards. In second place was Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park, followed by the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre Hotel in Whistler in third.
